A chaotic landscape results from a rocky collapse, but the cauterising power of plant colonisation creates a paradoxically hospitable place.

Drawing on the geomorphology of the site (the foot of the cliff), the garden Après l’effondrement (meaning After the Collapse) is organised around a scree slope. It is a garden of restoration, showcasing the healing power of plant colonisation. The pioneer vegetation eases the chaos and brutality generated by the materials emblematic of the collapse (boulders, burnt wood, intertwined branches). Yet, the piles of materials create fascinating circular spaces where visitors can appreciate their hospitability to living things.
